Tiger Booster Club
Who We Are
The Tiger Booster Club is a volunteer organization that supports GHS athletes; providing equipment, uniforms, and funding for high school athletic teams. The Boosters work hard to maintain a high level of sportsmanship, serve as role models to athletes and students, support team fundraisers, and organize concession at home events.
Meetings of the organization are held on the second Sunday of the month at 4:00 pm. Meetings are open to the public and are held in the media center at the High School.
What We Do
Each year the Booster Club provides thousands of dollars in financial assistance for the athletic department. Much of the club’s operating budget comes from the membership drive and concession stand revenue at home athletic events. We ask parents of athletes and other community members to consider donating to this worthwhile cause, through membership and volunteering opportunities.
Volunteer Opportunities
For a successful Booster Club, many volunteers are needed to staff the concession stands throughout the year. Shifts are approximately two hours and are very flexible.
Volunteers are also needed to monitor the reserved parking lot entrance before Tiger home football. Parents of athletes are especially encouraged to volunteer for 2-3 events during every sport season in which each child participates.
We are now utilizing a free online system called Sign Up Genius. This system allows us to contact each parent through an email that includes a link to the event in the system. In order to make this work we need parents’ email addresses. Please take a moment to send an email address to courtney.donohoe@grinnell-k12.org or grinnelltigerboosters.com. Then you will be able to access the system and sign up for events that work with your calendar. Thank you to everyone who previously volunteered for the Booster Club. We look forward to meeting new volunteers. You make our volunteer job much easier!
