NOTICE of PUBLIC HEARING
PART 1 Notice to Bidders
1.1 PUBLIC HEARING
A. The Board of Directors of the Grinnell Community School District will hold a public hearing on
the plans, specifications, form of contract, and total estimated cost of the Grinnell-Newburg CSD
New Elementary School Project in terms of the Grinnell-Newburg New Elementary project
pursuant to Iowa Code § 26.12. The public hearing shall be held at the District’s Board meeting
on February 11, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., and will be held in the in the High School Board Room at
1333 Sunset Street, Grinnell, Iowa.
B. The proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and total estimated cost may be examined
prior to the meeting at the district’s administrative offices located at 1520 Penrose Street,
Grinnell, IA.
C. At the time and place set for the public hearing, interested individuals will be given the
opportunity to express their views, both orally and in writing.
D. After the public hearing, the Board may act to approve the proposed plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimated total cost of the Grinnell-Newburg CSD New Elementary School Project
or may defer action to a later date.
