Ms. Carradus' Digital Photography students have been working collaboratively to create light paintings. Students rotated through the roles of Creative Director, Photographer, Model, and Light Technician. Putting what they have learned about the Exposure Triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO) into action, students captured blurred motion and light by using a long exposure. Going in to full Manual Mode on the DSLR cameras students worked together to evaluate, reflect, and revise their work to get a well exposed image and to meet the vision of the standing Creative Director. In this experience, students are managing a lot of physical equipment as well as developing the collaborative, communicative, creative, and critical thinking skills that are necessary for navigating adult life and jobs/careers.
