Ten student artworks from GHS will be submitted on Saturday to the State Art Show, Youth Art Month (YAM). Youth Art Month is Iowa’s juried State Art Show hosted by Art Educators of Iowa. Student artwork that is selected by the jury to participate in the show will be on display at Jordan Creek Mall for the month of March. The state’s top 20 artworks are selected for a special Governor’s Show that is on display at the State Capitol in the Governor’s Offices. This year Lilyana Benda, Isadora Boyer, Arianna Burrell, Isabelle Dewey, Penelope Fennell, Mathew Glascoe, Abigail Hammond, Elane Kaup, and Lucy Skouson each have a submission in the show. Judging will take place on Saturday, January 31st.
