NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Friday.

NO SCHOOL Monday, Feb. 18 – President’s Day Holiday.


Yearbook club pictures are now scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 21.


PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES are today from 2:00-8:00, and Friday, Feb. 15 from 8:00-12:00.  There are no appointments.  Teachers will be located in the cafeteria, the media center, or in their classrooms, and parents are welcome to just stop in and visit with whomever they like.


Grinnell High School and Middle School Annual Art Show opens Feb. 14 and runs through March 7 at Stewart Gallery/Grinnell Arts Center.



Boys Basketball JV @ Mt. Vernon- 6:00PM, Boys Basketball Varsity @ Mt. Vernon- 7:30PM, Bus leaves @ 4:00PM!


State Wrestling @ Wells Fargo- 6:00PM.  Coach Beck will be outside of the cafeteria over lunch to pass out shirts for those who ordered them.

Girls Varsity Basketball Regional Tournament, Grinnell vs ADM @ Grinnell Main Gym- 7:00PM


Score from last night’s varsity boys’ game at Oskaloosa- Oskaloosa 63 and Grinnell 49.


The Girls Basketball Team has their second round regional game at GHS on Saturday, February 16th. For this game there will be a Black Out theme that the whole crowd is supposed to participate in. If the Tigers advance to the regional final, that will also be held at the high school on Tuesday, February 19th. For this game the theme will be a White Out. Come support in the appropriate colors and cheer these girls onto State!


There will be pre-season meeting for any boys interested in joining the tennis team this spring next Thursday, 2/21 at 3:30pm in room 61. See Coach Smith if you have any questions.


Girls Golf Meeting on Wednesday, February 20th at 3:30 in Mr. Coffman's office for those interested in going out.


Boys Soccer Players Meeting on Thursday, Feb. 21st at 3:30pm in Mr. Plagge's room. 


ATTENTION GIRLS INTERESTED IN SOCCER: The girls' high school team is having Soccer Open Gyms every Sunday here at the high school from 6:00 to 7:30pm in the Kriegel Gym!  This is a great way to shake some rust off before the season starts, OR gain experience if you've never played before! ALL skill/interest levels welcome, even if you're not sure you'll play this season. If you have any questions, talk to Mary or Bridget Blanchard.

National FFA Week is next week! The Grinnell FFA Week will be celebrating Feb. 19-27th. EVERYONE can participate! Have fun with the FFA’s Dress Up Days AND join us for Activities during Lunch!

KISS THE CRITTER CONTEST!!!  Bring your Moo-lah $$$ to vote for the teacher you would like to see kiss an animal.  The teacher with the most money at the end of FFA week will draw to see what animal they will smooch at the next Pride Assembly!  Goal is to raise over $125 for PALS.  Please promote this campaign!


Valentines are being sold today outside the lunchroom 4th period for $1.


Grinnell is hosting the IHSSA Individual Events speech contest on Saturday, February 23.  We are still in desperate need of volunteers to help us host this event. Over 1000 people are expected to be in attendance.  We have several shifts available--you do not have to work all day if you have other commitments.  Please read about volunteer duties and sign up here: goo.gl/XxVLFA.  Students, remember you can earn volunteer hours!
