Dear Board of Education, Families, and Friends:
I hope you have a wonderful weekend with friends and family as we celebrate the 4th of July Holiday.
The Iowa Association of School Boards continues to strive toward the very best public education for our students, and they are doing wonderful things in their campaign The Promise of Iowa. On this important holiday weekend, I wanted to take this opportunity to ask you to become aware and involved in the mission to support the future of Iowa, and the future of our nation. I would like to encourage you to please take a moment visit the Promise of Iowa website, http://promiseiowa.org/, particularly the Promise Stories and the Take Action Tab. What a wonderful thing it would be to have all our families and community rallying behind our students in this great endeavor.
Summer school has been off to a great start, and I would like to thank all our teachers who continue to work with our students throughout the summer months. I would like to remind our parents that there will be no summer school programming this coming week. Programming will resume on Monday July 10.
