Weekly Update: October 11, 2019
Happy Friday! We went from sun, rain, to the feel of snow in the air? Wow is it cold outside! It is expected to freeze this evening! If you are heading to the football game tonight, be sure to bundle up! Go Tigers!
This is also the time when we hear about many students and staff catching colds or experiencing flu like symptoms. Be sure to encourage your students to do some extra hand washing and stay home if you are experiencing a fever or flu like symptoms. Unfortunately, it hit me this week and I am disappointed that I will miss tonight’s game. I will be taking advantage of the streaming live opportunities as well as listening in via KGRN. Go Tigers!
Parent Teacher Conferences: Next week!
Parent teacher conferences are coming up next week! I want to thank all of our staff for your hard work and dedication as you prepare for these conferences. This is a time when parents and teachers can come together to focus on assisting students to grow and learn as we have conversations about student progress. This is a time when parents and teachers can gather more information about students and to work together to meet our student’s learning needs. I hope you enjoy this time together! This activity can foster a wonderful opportunity to assist and support our students through a team approach! Happy Conferencing!
There will be a 2 hour early dismissal on Thursday, October 17.
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held from 2:00 to 8:00.
There is no school for students on Friday, October 18.
Parent/Teacher conferences will be held from 8:00 - noon.
The Board of Education met this past week and approved the 2021 Spring Trip to New York. Watch for details coming from Mr. Hunter and Ms. Baumgartner. The board also approved the Danielson contract to continue to explore a new evaluation model! The team from Danielson will be coming in November to visit our schools. Also- the title 1 compact was approved. The compact can be used during parent teacher conference time. Please check with your building principals if you have any questions.
