Weekly Update: July 20, 2018

Dear Grinnell Board of Education, Staff, Families and Friends:

Happy Friday!   This week we celebrated our Tigers Baseball Team with an amazing win against Knoxville.  Be sure to take a look at the final play in the short video that has been shared below. The team had another impressive season!  Thanks to all of our Tiger Fans, Coaches and Players for an enjoyable summer of baseball.

I want to take a moment to thank our custodial crew for the fabulous work they are doing to prepare for our opening days this fall.   This amazing crew has worked tirelessly this summer! Be sure to thank your school’s custodial crew for their hard work so that students and teachers have clean spaces upon their return!  Way to Go TEAM!

Below please see some important information regarding the Bond informational meetings,  National Night Out, and our upcoming hearing regarding the 11th avenue property.

Registration is just around the corner. We will be holding a Registration Night on Tuesday, August 7th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the High School.  Please bring any required medical, dental or vision forms. These forms can be found here.  Also if your child received any vaccinations please bring an updated vaccination record.

Online Bus Registration

We are asking parents to fill out the online bus registration form.  This information helps us to plan bus routes and have an approximate count of students who will be needing bus transportation. Please fill out the online bus registration here. Thank you for completing as soon as possible so we can ensure that your student is accounted for as a bus rider!

National Night Out:

August 7th from 6:00-8:30! Following registration be sure to turn the TV off and put down the video games so that you can head out to the park for the annual National Night Out sponsored by our Grinnell Police Department!   This is a fabulous family event. I hope to see you there!
