Weekly Update: June 20, 2019

Dr. Stutz

Dear Grinnell-Newburg Board of Education, Staff, Families and Friends:

Happy official first day of summer! This will be the last weekly update until July 5. Please take a look at all of the events that are posted on this update through July 5, 2019. I hope everyone is having an amazing summer and enjoying time with family and friends.

Summer school is going well, teachers are finishing up some curriculum work and planning for next year, and principals are finalizing plans for the fall. This is a busy time of year for many as we close the 2018-19 school year, while planning for the 2019-2020 school year.  Our administrative team is finishing up the first two sessions on Balanced Leadership. It has been a great team building activity.

District Office Hours:

The District Office is open from 8:00- 3:30 PM Monday-Thursday and 8:00-12:00 PM on Friday.   The school offices will be closed during the month of July. If you need immediate assistance please direct all questions to the district office at 641-236-2700. If you have questions about summer athletic activities please send an email Mr. Coffman at chris.coffman@grinnell-k12.org.

Above & Beyond Recipients:

At the June 12th Board meeting, the following were recognized for going above and beyond! The Board also recognized student State participants from this past Spring. Be sure to submit your nominee who has gone above and beyond to help our school district. Keep submitting those recognition emails! You can nominate a staff member, a student or a community group or individual. Requests can be submitted to aboveandbeyond@grinnell-k12.org
